The Mission

This is my attempt to bring together the people I know, to learn from each other, and to stimulte debate.  We can’t always be in the same place, but at least we can annoy each other from three states over.

The aim of this blog isn’t diaristic or even journalistic; this isn’t another outpost for New Journalism.  Blogs are most useful when they provide expertise or information that isn’t accessibile without a degree or years of specialization.  We might not have all the degrees we want, but we’re working on it.  From poetry and physics, to the rise of China and chemical engineering, we’re involved in a range of activities and discipines that can provide thoughtful commentary accross the intellectual spectrum.  This blog aims to be a nexus for that information, fostering debate and expanding our list of go-to dick jokes and obstuse, repetative, inside references.
